Background
Devon Rose is a traditional free range, organic and natural butchers. Their existing solution was an out-of-the-box online shop product in use for 2 years. Their existing site was complicated to maintain and did not compliment the Devon Rose image, consequently the business was unable to maximise it's online potential.
Requirements
Devon Rose approached BHPartnersWeb looking for a bespoke modern Website which would satisfy their expanding business needs, blending both the traditional farm butchers business and an innovative, unique Meat Box Scheme, which allows customers to receive regular seasonal products at reduced prices. While the Box Scheme was a popular offering, it was difficult to manage on the existing Website.
Our solution
BHPartnersWeb created a totally new Web solution - www.DevonRose.com - containing an easy to navigate online shop, which is fully maintainable by Devon Rose via a login facility.
To compliment the extensive shop there is also a facility for the Box Scheme which allows Devon Rose to automatically generate boxes and hampers depending on cost, size or product type. www.DevonRose.com allows customers to buy online, register and sign up to the Box Scheme if desired, submit recipes and leave feedback. Once customers are registered, they have the facility to update their preferences, change their payment method and carry out a number of personalised alterations/amendments to their Box Scheme.
A number of 'back-end' tools were created to allow Devon Rose to manage orders, customers, products, boxes, hampers and all the Website content, as well as the generation of e-newsletters, all of which is done automatically through a secure login facility. Smooth order processing is achieved by the automatic generation of printouts giving the butchers a list of daily requirements, as well as a weekly summary.
Search engine rankings
Along with the build of the Devon Rose site, we help them manage their search engine submissions, tuning their rankings and optimising search engine submissions to ensure any content changes are reflected within search engines.
